Hermione needs to realize what Draco was doing essentially WAS mercy killing. She's so stupidly self-righteous sometimes. I liked the Hermione who obliviated Draco much better. Hopefully she has a wakeup coming in this story. I was really hoping to see the fierce, "avenging angel" Hermione, who would eat her way through the Death Eater ranks like fire through flash paper. With the ever delicious Draco at her side, of course. I wanted to see them glorying in their blood lust and having freaky sex amidst a pile of bodies. Guess I'm morbid, lol.
Your writing is, as always, excellent. This is the 3rd of your stories I've read, and I plan on reading them all.

I like the alternative ending that is HEA, but I don't think it would have been as good if I hadn't read the first ending that was not HEA first. because we needed the first story to see really how Draco felt with the vampire bloodlust.

The sitting on the moon scene can still work. Just put them on the limb, watching the earth on the lunar horizon and introduce a crater edge or a cliff of some sort that casts a shaddow on them. perfextly possible (says someone with a degree in astronomy)
