Sweet short story!

This is very close to the movie with Kiera Knightly and MacFayden.

Less than 3 Less than 3 Less than 3 Less than 3 ( since I cannot make hearts )
I liked this take on the ending! (-:(-:(-:(-:

It's a short retelling of the story and I don't have any issues with the rewriting of the story or even the dialogue. Make it your own vision. You don't have to stick with what Miss Austen created. I enjoyed reading this!

You misquoted Lydia's line form the 2005 movie: 'Mr. Darcy is not as high and mighty as you sometimes.' THAT is what Lydia Bennet said.
Also, before that, she was like this:
LIZZY: Mr. Darcy?
LYDIA: (covers mouth with a not-so-sorry smirk) Oh, I forgot. But I shouldn't have said a word!
LIZZY: Mr. Darcy was at your wedding?
LYDIA: (whispering conspiratorially) HE was the one that discovered us. He paid for the wedding, Wickham's commission. Everything! But don't tell anyone, he told me not to tell.
LIZZY: (pressing) Mr. Darcy?
LYDIA: Stop it, Lizzy. (adding as an afterthought) Mr. Darcy's not half as high and mighty as you sometimes. (turns away nad switches their wine glssses)
So.. uh, rewatch the movie before you quote!

They needed that last little bit in the movie. Wonderful as always.

It's not bad, but why did you label it a tragedy?

Oh, hai!

First off- I love this! I'm a huge fan of Pride and Prejudice, and reading Mr. Darcy's proposal from a fangirling Elizabeth's point of view was refreshing.

Your writing is elegant much like Jane Austen's, but more modern. However, you do not forfeit any of the story's original charm and portray Lizzie beautifully.

Thank you for giving us the chance to read this. :)
