Got to say, this holiday I have seriously been spoiled for chapters. It's been brilliant and I hope it continues as long as it can! :D
Got to say reading the first exam chapter I had the thought that maybe someone had noticed something off about Kabuto in canon too. After he walks out in the second exam that's it until the hospital room where we don't know it's him (yombie dead guys? Something smells of snake) and he was being followed around then too... or maybe Baki was... I'm probably reading too much into it. Though it would be interesting to see T+I looking into things. They'd just have to be careful or it could be a bit like poking a rattler. ;)
Forest chapter, excellent as standard :) Sasuke definitely has more faith in his team this time round which is good, but I don't think that will be enough. Also, it's a shame the Konoha 12 are all so talented as he can't see how amazing his progress is - something Shikako could point out? 2 months as a genin as opposed to a year at least for everyone else? Smack downs (oro or not) hurt pride and body.
Final thoughts, I doubt Shikako would hide her knowledge of the curse mark and weird seal chakra from Naruto like Sakura did, but the massacre? And Kyuubi? Naruto uses that chakra again and while Sasuke might have brushed it off last time, they're closer this time so I would think him more likely to come out and ask. It's bound to be good though, however you do it. You're chapters always are. :)
Keep up the pace, I have a feeling it'll be what I'm relying on to get me through my own exams! Love your work!

Ah, nice use of Naruto's special transformation technique (are you going to give it a name?). The one most likely to notice something off is probably Shino, but we'll see. It's a damn shame Shikako couldn't teach Naruto bunshin daibakuha or they already would have had this part of the exam in the bag :P
I'm loving that everyone has their roles, Shikako is the strategist that comes up with the plans while Sasuke directs them in battle and Naruto's always the wild card. I also noticed that Sasuke actually has enough faith in his teammates to trust them with the scrolls this time around. I'm crossing my fingers for you Sasuke!
Even though that Rain team was nowhere near the level of Zabuza and Haku the battle felt a lot more 'final'. Maybe because safety net Kakashi-sensei isn't around this time. Heh, I'm betting Mama Nara will be proud that Shikako's putting her techniques to use.
Wow two scrolls already. Now there's absolutely no reason to fight Oreo in the first place. I suppose it would be a bad idea to run like hell to the tower right now, but the Oreo man! THE OREO!

Yays! I just read the last chapter yesterday and already you updated! Awesome! I can't wait to see the Orochimaru fight! Although, her logic seems kind of pointless at the moment. For one, she's a main character and main characters are hardly ever killed off. Second, Sakura survived and she was WAY weaker. Anyways, update soon please!

Heh! Yay, some awesome action. I really like the team dynamics of this story.. Sasuke is more willing to accept help and rely on others. Hopefully that will have an impact on future events.

Uh oh that last statement kinda sounded like a cliffhanger... Looks like Orochimaru might be coming... Hahah you do have a good point there if I ever saw a giant spider I'd scream my head off. XD And anyways you always seem to update at random times.. For me anyways. The funny thing is that even if there's less drama and problems they face cause of Shikako this story is still interesting!

I love your use of tactics, ohmigod. The spider clone infiltration idea was undeniably cunning, and the battle scene was both engaging and realistic. One of the main reasons I adore your story is because of its realism; Shikako thinks like a shinobi, while most ocs are retarded fangirls with no concept of subtlety or subterfuge.
But your AN at the top had me thinking: far down the road, if Shikako were going to be paired with anyone, who would you want her to be with? You don't have to answer such a trite question if you don't want to, I'm just curious. n_n

Incredible. Your output rivals the Hill of Swords but the quality of the fic doesn't suffer at all. I almost cringed that they weren't going ahead to avoid the looming cloud that is Orichimaru's appearance.

I'm not usually a fan of OC/self-insert stories, but this one is an exception. I don't know why, but I absolutely love your writing style. I love Shikako's self-doubt in the face of her knowledge of the future. Many stories involve characters who are adamant about changing events for the better. This realistic deviation is a nice change.
I really don't know what else to say, other than keep up the great work. I'm not the best when it comes to constructive criticism, but I felt that I had to leave a review of some sort for this wonderful story.

Oh wow lots of hostility towards Kabuto huh? He won't know what hit him. I like this alternative cause in this versin, at least naruto gets to answer the questions. So are you going to try and add a little romance int he story or are you gonna just leave it like this. I don't really care about it that much, I was just wondering. =)

Well, about your chapter conundrum: As I said before even if it takes you longer to cover an arc you take the time to flesh out the characters and breath more life into the shinobi world and that's something I really value. The fact that you crank out your chapters at an unbelievable speed really helps as well. And that's my humble opinion to a throwaway question!
Wow. For a second there I thought Shikako would be blissfully unaware of the filthy traitor over there. Glad you didn't go that route! I was taken aback by her vehement hatred, though, I suppose it's one thing when they're characters on a page and another when they're people you grew up with, huh? Wasn't there a time when the team traveled with Kabuto in the second exam? That should be interesting to say the least.
Somehow I'm guessing the only ones who could complete the test legitimately out of the genins (Kabuto doesn't count) are Shikamaru and Shikako :P I'm kinda happy that Naruto still did his little speech despite Shikako's help. Shonen Speeches will not be contained! It's surprised Ibiki's little pep talk got through to Shikako, but I'm glad it did considering she'll need all the help she can get in the face of Oreo.
Speaking of Oreo, I'm anxious to see how Shikako stands against him. Her chakra sense has been a boon so far, but Oreo's killing intent froze Sasuke and Sakura on the spot. I can only imagine what it will do to Shikako. Then there's Gaara, but let's take this one bloodthirsty killer at a time.
