Been there and done that - more than once. When you break up because you know it's not working, even if you love each other, it is very difficult to deal with. This story captures the melange of feelings that go with it very well. The worst and best part is that you both can't go back to what you were to each other beforehand. As long as you stay friends and don't do anything that could be perceived as betraying the other (by, say, throwing your hands into the air when...), the best part overwhelmingly beats the worst part.

I wanna cry. I wonder how Carly will actually feel. The thing is I think everyone will be happy for them to go back to normal, but how can they? They can't fight the same way they used to.
Well I guess, Sam and Freddie aren't meant to be a couple. But that doesn't mean they aren't meant for each other. Freddie belonged to Sam the moment she kissed him, and her lips were saved only for him. And we know they love each other. Plus, Freddie kissed her live on iCarly in iLMM, so now all the girls and guys in the world knows they should BACK OFF. Sam and Freddie being friends, struggling with feelings for each other might be better then them dating for all we know.

This was amazing. I almost cried and I didn't even cry during the episode. The emotions were written so beautifully. I loved the whole arc. I've been insanely happy for the past several months. Ever since iOMG. But the last few weeks of episodes were truly amazing. Sam and Freddie were so adorable I wanted to die, but they were still them. They were exactly the way I had always pictured them in a relationship, just a smidgeon more lovey dovey. And I think that's what the problem was. They were rushing into this so fast. And the break up was so well done. I truly applaud Dan Schneider because you rarely ever see something so mature in a kids' show. They broke up BECAUSE they love each other. Because they don't want to screw it up. I whole-heartedly believe that they WILL get back together and it will be even more perfect and wonderful than it was this time. They both need some time to grow up before they can be in a relationship.
