This was one of the BEST pieces I've read in a while. You didn't need 20,000 words to give us the perfect visual of both Steph AND Ranger's panic. It was SO hilarious how Ranger's complection changed from Cuban to ogre. LOL OMG, I'm still laughing about him sticking his head in the freezer, too.
It must have really been serious for her to have called her mom, but with her about to get married, her mom must be thrilled, and of course, she'll be in her element.
Like I said...a great story, perfectly written to give us the exact visual we needed to "see" the characters.
Excellent work.
