I love when authors can do John justice & you did. You showed he was a hard man & difficult to live with but that he had a heart & loved the boys. I hate the part of the fandom that John bashes. You captured Dean & Bobby REALLY well too. The original characters were great. The story was great. The little hunt was great. It was all just great.

Ok, "enjoying this" is definitely one way of putting it, but it's definitely an understatement. I'm LOVING this! I want you to write every day for the rest of your life, ok? Just so we're clear on that. I mean, even your OCs have soooo much depth to them and you describe them so well that it's as easy to picture them in my head as it is Dean and Bobby. I found myself loving Gert even more when she and Dean talked about Mary and Gert's late husband. And Clive? Man, I can just picture him perfectly. And I have to give you extra loving and snuggles and hugs and imaginary chocolate for the last scene. Dean getting all fidgety and worried about Sammy was so cute. And Bobby's right. Dean is a parent to Sammy. If it was one of my kids out there doing that for the first time without me watching over them, I'd be nervous and worried too. Doesn't matter if you're technically the parent or not, when you raise someone like that, you still feel and react the same way a parent would. Dean visibly relaxing after talking to Sam and Bobby knowing that was just what he needed melted my heart a little. :) This story is incredible. Moving on to the next chapter! *hugs*

Oh my gosh, this was sooooo sweet! First Bobby remembering the boys when they were little and I love love love how you described Sam's "squeals of delight" and his little toes in his sneakers and it was so obvious how much those boys adored each other. It makes me melt. And Dean was the bestest big brother ever! And then Bobby getting into it with John. You just wrote that brilliantly. John wasn't a d*ck that beat on his kids like some like to believe. He was an obsessed, grief stricken *ss who didn't want to feel any emotions cuz it just brings more pain. He was fiercely protective and the only way he could manifest that was by expecting nothing less than perfection from his boys so that they'd be ok. Sadly, in the process, he alienated them and didn't provide them with the tender love that boys without a mother desperately yearn for. He loved his boys but had no time for the ooey gooey lovey dovey stuff when there were monsters out there that he had to rid the world of. Bobby was so right in that conversation and I can certainly see why they ended up parting ways with a shotgun and threats between them. And Dean meeting Gert? Awwwwwww! I love Dean's reaction to her. So sweet and so Dean. She sounds cute as hell and she's spunky which is exactly what would make Dean love her. Add in the pie and she's golden. You're rocking this story so hard and I don't want to go to work again! :( Thanks so much for this! Hope I can read more tonight! *smooches you*

Ok, I'm WAY too lazy to review this chapter and I wanna know what Dean figured out so I'm skipping the usual gushing. :) Great chapter though! I loved it, which is why I'm blowing you off to try and read one more before work. Lmao! Love ya! *hugs*

How is it possible that you're so awesome? This chapter had me laughing one second and then grasping my hand over my heart and sighing "awwwwww" like a 12-year-old girl. Somehow you managed to take these 2 gruff, hard-ass men and turn them into gruff but mushy goo. I love how this is going. The deal they made with each other, the obvious way they care about each other but are too hardwired to just come right out and say it in so many words. It made the scene when Sam and Dean were really young just melt me all the more - with Bobby and Sam claiming their love for each other and the way Dean trusts Bobby even though you can count the number of people Dean trusts on one hand that's short 2 fingers. Ok, bottom line: you write Bobby better than anyone I've ever read, besides the show itself and even then, I can't really see any difference. You write young Dean perfectly, complete with cockiness, bravado, surly attitude, and his emotions that are just oozing out of his pores just begging to be released. I can tell already that this story is going to add so much to the times I view any interaction between these two on the show. Thanks again for your hard work and your affection for these two characters that is made obvious by your attention to detailed accuracy with which you write them. Ok, I'm gonna shut my yap and read another chapter before I have to go to work. Hopefully YOU won't make me late again. *giggle* Love this, love you. Thanks. *hugs*

Such an excellent story. I loved the way that you characterized all four of the boys, because you got them all exactly correct. I especially thought you did such a great job with Bobby, who a lot of people don't do well but you captured perfectly. All the weechester flashbacks also made me very joyous. You write very well and did such a great job capturing the distinct tones and feelings of the complex relationships involved.

Just one chapter in and already this is just so incredible. I'm hooked. And I'm not shocked that this is incredible or that I'm hooked. You just get these characters. All of them. One hundred percent. Can I also give you a virtual hug and snuggle for adding a little John and Sammy fight? I can just picture Sammy getting into John's face to defend Dean while Dean tries to stop him from his gimp position on the ground. Also, damn you! I have to once again leave for work now and all I wanna do is read more! Think I should call in sick? *giggle* Yeah, alright. I won't but I'm reading this on my break. Just so you know. :D Thanks for this! Yay! I'm so excited! *hugs*

*Applauding* Well done, T, well done. It would truly take me forever to try and mention all the endearing moments that made me want to swoon with happiness, from Bobby being Bobby to Dean and Mira's hunt. And Gert and Josey!

Then Dean studying Sam on the bed and John's chick flick moment (and oh oh, thought I'd die when Dean was trying to figure out what you call a chick flick and Bobby saying that was porn) I'll always think of this when any of them say "no chick flicks" now.

And then revealing what the title means toward the end. Gosh, this is all so so great.

*blushing* Why do I love that Bobby is having "the talk" with Dean.

This was a great story. I enjoyed every chapter. You made everyone so lifelike and believable even John. So many writers tend to make him too heartless but you rode the line perfectly showing an obsessed man who did still care about his children just showed it badly. Even Bobby and Dean weren't perfect. Prbbably not enough Sam for a lot of readers but I'm a Dean girl so really not a problem for me.

This was a really good story. It had much Dean angst.

But it was a really good look into BobbySinger's life.

I really liked the interaction between Bobby and Dean.

And I most especially liked that you posted from start to finish.

Good writing style too! Thanks for sharing your genius with us readers.

Oh yeah. I also liked Bobby doing the Pee Pee dance waiting for Clive.

That really cracked me up!

Love Bobby and his life and neighbors and esp. for him calling Sam.

Why do I love so much that Bobby has a girlfriend? And the way you are filling in and conveying the relationship between Dean and Bobby is lovely.

It was worth it, you being away so long, when you come back with something as good as this!

LOVE Dean's POV on Bobby!
