I love how dramatic Merlin is, especially when a rando sorcerer comes and he intimidates him so much that he up and leaves XD I’m kinda wondering what the rest of the court is doing when Arthur and Merlin leave, though. I mean, everyone always thought that Merlin was weak and defenseless and now they are shown just how powerful the servant is. Imagine the Knights’ reactions! And Gaius would just be in the corner bemoaning Merlin’s dramatics. How would the other nobles and servants take it? What would everyone do when Arthur and Merlin came back to Camelot? I’m curious to see how you would portray the scene. Besides that, I love how warm Arthur and Merlin’s conversation feels; there are a lot of positive emotions. I like Kilgarrah’s apology and how Arthur is still comfortable around Merlin, even if he is a bit overwhelmed. It was a pleasure to read this and it’s prequels, and I would read any more stories you would write for this series!

I love this story and I love you. I don't think I've ever smiled so much while reading a Merlin fic before. If you were to continue this, that would be great. Sorry, but I don't have any ideas on how to continue this. It's 1:15AM and I need to get up at 7AM, but the read was definitely worth some lost sleep. Tomorrow, I am going to show this to my sister. If she doesn't love this story, then she has been replaced by a clone. I JUST LOVE THIS AND IT'S WONDERFUL AND I CAN'T EVEN...ASFLGKSHJDI!

Very nicely done. A solid post-reveal explanation with a good few opportunities for some dramatics. Thank you for posting!

I have seen versions of this speech a few dozen times, but this may be the best version yet.
"They failed because I stopped them. I killed Nimueh. I trapped Sigan's soul in his crystal. Both of the immortal armies Morgause raised fell at my hand. I have masted the magic of the sidhe and the power of life and death. I have taken council with the Fisher King, survived the Crystal Cave, and seen Avalon. I am the one the druids call Emrys and if I were you, I would turn around and leave."

I enjoyed the story but for me Arthur accepted everything a little too fast. I understand accepting Dragoon - he was after all a stranger. With Merlin it was different, after all they knew each other for years and were supposes to be friends. I'm not saying that Arthur shouldn't accept him, but there should be at least a litte mistrust and a feeling of betrayal. Whereas he right away goes with Merlin and Merlin alone to some unknown place. It's just too much improbable.

I am reading through all of your Merlin fanfictions ever since I read Harry Potter and the Return of Merlin, and I have only one thing to say:
You are now my one and only Favorite Author. :D

This is very nice. I desperately wish that Arthur would have found out about Merlin's powers at least half way through season 5, instead of that slap across the face that was the show finale.

That was great indeed. Kilgharrah speaking to Arthur and Merlin was fun indeed.
