This chapter gave me flashbacks to the Metapod vs Metapod fight... Thankfully without the accompanying innuendos.

Please tell me you're not having Azrael's motive be a dead lover. Cliché doesn't even begin to cover that reason.

I hope this clusterfuck of an arc ends soon, cause I'm rapidly losing interest in the endless God blasts getting thrown around.

I’m not even taking time to review fully with this. I NEED to get straight to the next chapter which should tell you how amazing I find it.

Another GREAT chapter, I find the ending of this very enticing as it heavily hints at the end of Hoenn Ash and latios will be able to use their full power. I can’t wait to see if this holds up to stevens expectations and it has me very excited to get to that part of the story. Great stuff keep up the good work.

Very very epic chapter, I like the take on mega pigeon nearly killing Ash. I almost expected it to go perfect as his bond was so strong with her but the way you pulled it was off was really cool and impressive. Great chapter, I loved it.

And so the twins finally meet the man who ruined their lives, wonderful work! I really enjoyed this first encounter, though it doesn't seem to be going in team twins favor so far. I suspect I know what you might have in mind moving forward, but I guess we'll have to see what happens!
The section with their father Latios was heart wrenching and tragic. Your portrayal of Latios's love for his children, and his determination to protect them, was just beautiful on top of that.
Phaedra is everything I hoped she would be. Confident, powerful, but also clearly kind and caring to her friends and family. I figured we'd see a Phae VS Skai situation given the setup with the jade orb, but I still hate to see the outcome. Here's hoping Phae makes it out alright, I'm really looking forward to seeing her meeting Latios and Latias (For obvious reasons of course, but still :p).
As for everything else, the shear power displayed in this chapter is mind boggling. It makes me wonder what the twins will have once they reach adulthood, but excellent job with everything! This might be my favorite chapter so far!

Hey Arcy, your latest chapter was really awesome! The flashback scene with Azrael and the father was cool to see. I have to say, even though you've implied that Azrael might have a more sympathetic side to him, the guy comes off as a total asshole here. He attacked an entire city and killed many innocent people just so he could murder 2 unborn children as revenge for an unspecified grudge he has against the gods.
To be fair I do agree with the idea that a world which has living gods, who can do the kinds of crazy shit that ANC legendaries are capable of, might not be the most ideal due to the threat of said gods abusing their powers to enslave and torment mortals. But you've already made it clear that legendaries aren't like that, even the more prideful ones like Rayquaza seem content to remain isolated from the world and its issues. They also don't really seem to care if mortals worship them or not, they KNOW that they're gods and they don't require people to venerate them as such. The only legendary we know of who actively engages with humans is Lugia, and from what you've said the guy sounds like a giant marshmallow with wings who wouldn't hurt a fly (well...unless you hurt one of his children...uh-oh).
So far, Azrael hasn't really done anything that would make him seem to be anything more than a homicidal psychopath. Still, there's probably a lot more to the story and I do hope that we'll get a more in-depth examination of Azrael and what he's actually fighting for. Your description of the staff was really interesting, and its apparent connection to the DMA is certainly a plot thread that will be intriguing to follow.
As for the battle between Phae and the Titans, I definitely think that you delivered on your claim that legendaries are divine beings who are nearly unstoppable. It's interesting how you portray Phaedra and Skailyn as invincible but still fallible to an extent, since the titans do end up succeeding in their attempt to enslave Skailyn using whatever dark power that this mysterious orb has. That being said, I still predict that Phaedra will find a way to turn the tables on her enemies in the next chapter. I'm fully confident that she will...earn her wing (too soon?).
So, Ash is still conscious and is trapped inside his own mindscape. Let me guess, he's going to break free of Azrael's control after Pikachu and the gang call out to him and invoke the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP! Azrael might defeat the gods, but he is an insignificant ant compared to the awesome power of the anime protagonist!

Of course Azzy doesn't want to 'spoil the surprise'.
That's not how the word 'marred' works.
I hear Ron Pearlman when Azrael speaks. Which, due to your abysmal knowledge of pop culture, you've probably never heard of.
Illusions are a real bitch.
The staff probably exudes Dark type energy to counter psychic.
A DMA staff?
Nothing personal he says. So the sins of the father fall upon the children. Revenge. The most worthless of causes.
Ladies and gentleman, the Poké-cavalry is here!
"That would be your death." That, is a SOLID one liner.
Phaedra made a wave, move faster than the speed of sound. OK yeah, that's frickin' scary.
That'd be Aeroblast. Which, as described, reminds me of Godzilla charging up his atomic breath.
An interdiction field to prevent teleportation. Smart.
DAMN that is a powerful Aeroblast. And this is Phaedra. Which makes you wonder what the big Lugia can do, and what Groudon and Kyogre can do. Beyond, obviously, significantly worse.
"Phaedra didn't flinch in response." Translation: You dun goofed.
"How are we supposed to even challenge that?" You're not, you're a distraction.
Ah, the storm is approaching the mainland. Crap.
Huh, Ash having a lot of Aura backfiring on him. That's new.
Ah crap, the Orb's in control.
"Bring. It. On." Ho boy.

Great new year's present!
Poor Ash, trapped and basically held hostage by some evil spirit. Poor Latios and Latias too: the monster of their past has come back and is using their favorite human against them.
I can't wait to see how Phaedra gets out of this jam.

Chapter 32 let’s goooooooo! The battle continues! Let’s see how Ozul and the rest of his gang (well, the ones that are still alive that is) are going to hold up against Skailyn AND Phaedra! And I can’t wait to see what happens with Ash and the gang! Now, to the review!
I wonder, how do they recognize Azrael? Because he does say they’ve never met. Is it because they’ve been living with that curse around them for their entire life, and the ‘feeling’ is just the same? Eh, who knows, I’m just throwing ideas around hoping it sticks.
Azrael, why!? Why must you do this to the poor twins!? Can’t they just have a break from all that’s happened for once!?
Yeah! Phaedra’s here now! And with a rather dramatic and completely unnecessary entrance too! lol. And flinging water so fast that it turns into a boiling inferno … well that’s terrifying. I’d hate to be on the receiving end of that.
Welp, on the off chance we all somehow end up in the Pokémon universe, remind me to never get on the bad side of any Legendary Pokémon. Because holy shit, Phaedra’s Aeroblast sounds TERRIFYING. Also, I feel sorry for anyone living anywhere near the coast, because they’re about to get hit by one GIANT tsunami.
Yeah, it really isn’t your day Bianca, and it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets any better. lol
Jeez, even Azrael’s terrified of Skailyn. This is definitely going to be interesting when Skailyn’s powers aren’t being held back by that orb, but also terrifying.
Oh fuck, Skailyn turned on Phaedra, this is NOT going to go well.
Wow, Phaedra just had her wing torn off, and she ‘relaxed marginally’… how. I know she’s a Legendary, but still, she literally just lost a wing. I’d expect a little bit more of a reaction than, “better my wing than my neck.” but nope, she just acts like it’s nothing. My fear and amazement for these Legendaries grows great with each word. And I can see why Azrael is terrified of Skailyn now, although I feel like we’ve barely seen anything yet…
Well, this was an intense chapter, and good God Phaedra is TERRIFYING. I’m really looking forward to seeing more of this battle between Phaedra and Skailyn. And hopefully Latias and Latios find a way out of that situation, I dread to think of what might happen if they don’t.
That’s all I have to say for this chapter. As always, I enjoyed reading it. It was a great chapter.
