Liked how you switched characters, was so expecting it to be Kate and then it was someone completely new!
I love when we see Caskett"s relationship from someone else view, makes it all shine so brightly what they have!

First of all, I love that saying by Dr. Seuss. Well, love The Lorax as well, but that statement was a highlight.
Loved how the beginning, it was left vague. So, of course, I thought it was Kate, only to be surprised.

This was an interesting way to introduce an original character. I like that at the beginning, Elle was very like Beckett. I liked her and her little confrontation with Logan. The character intrigues me, and I hope I read more about her!
This story was very well written. You use the language very well, with only a few quirks here and there that hint that English isn't your first language! I didn't find it bothersome, but if it does bother you, a beta could help you tidy it up in very little time.

fascinating. an entirely new character who, at the beginning, felt like a wordier Beckett, or rather, a normal Nikki Heat, actually. so of course it took me a second of re-reading to figure out that she wasn't Kate, that she was this other girl, new girl, and then it was all about getting hints of Beckett's life through Elle's eyes.
so what prompted this one? Elle is french for 'she'? I think? I don't know actually. lol. But anyway, it almost feels like. . .like a glimpse of some other world, not even a future Castle, but just a different sway, a new slant.

It's cute :) I like it. Great work. There's always room to improve on your english (i dont know how well you speak/write it) but thats no biggie. im still working on my french. Keep up the great work! I'd love to read more of your stories in the future.

NOOOOOO! This can't be complete, it just CAN'T! It sounds like an awesome beginning to a wonderful Caskett-type love story between Elle and Logan. If it's encouragement you need, I would be happy to be your cheerleader every word, sentence, page and chapter of the way. It would be so much fun, especially if Kate and Rick gave counsel to the two, or at least Rick and Kate gave counsel to Elle. That would be so much fun. The writing is wonderful and drew me in right away. I actually thought it was Kate at first, which I'm sure you intended. I love the idea of a Kate-type detective that actually WANTS love, rather than just runs from it all the time.

This was good! Is it going to be a part of a series? Maybe a prequel dealing with Elle's brother's case?
