I like this chapter! Its much different than the boks and I like the little twist of Snape goin gto retrieve Harry instead of Hagrid. I always hated how he imposed his prejudice on Harry about the Slytherin and Ron as well with the Malfoys. So I suppose Harry will be going to Hogwarts with an open mind. I cant wait to read the next chapter! Im favoriting and putting this story on alerts. Update soon!
P.S. Are Draco and Harry going to meet in the next chapter?

I love the story so far! This chapter was almost exactly the same as the books. Key Word: ALMOST. I see you made Harry a little more meek and shy in this story and you put a lot of empasise on Harry getting abused by his uncle instead of just deprived of meals and locked in small spaces. Brillant. I cant wait to read more!

While I like the second chapter I think the first chapter was too similar to the book. I just browsed through it, only noticing a couple of different details.
I'm glad the 2nd chapter was more different. Although it seemed a bit rushed and the characters were a little OC. Dumbledore, Snape and Harry especially. Dumbledore seems too forceful and didn't give much explanation (a reasonable one) for his decision on why he was sending Snape to pick up Harry; he's more... manipulative than how he was portrayed. Snape is too rash, although he doesn't want to pick up HArry he wouldn't show as much emotion as he showed in this scene. He's colder and more in control. Harry's not as trusting or as much of a wimp as he was portrayed here. While he shows to be smarter than he did in the books, he was too trusting toward Snape. Even if Snape did just help him out Harry is not so trusting, especially if he's going to be sorted into Slytherin. Shouldn't he be displaying more Slytherin attitudes instead of Hufflepuff?
And why did Harry grab Snape's waist? After all, he has no knowledge of Apparation and he doesn't even know Snape...
