This is really good! I'm not good at sad things. I want to write a fanfic if emilie lived.

This is absolutely amazing. Your descriptions are great. One of the best I've read, well done! I was welling up inside! Super story, great writing.

I love the imagery you use, like when you describe the old man sitting at the table with his gnarled hands stifling the tears and the way he saw her before she died.
Now this is a real tear-jerker. I was so sad during the movie to see that she died; and this reinforces the fondness I had for her.
I love how you put that sequence at the end. At first I thought it was her last happy memory, then I thought it was her dream, but at the end I thought she was in heaven. Maybe it was all three.
Either way, this fic is amazing! It is really well written and pulls at the reader's heartstrings quite effectively. Good job!

Awww, that was so cute :D
Okay, so this was nicely written, I think you captured both Emilie and her grandfather pretty well. There were a few inaccuracies with the verb tense - I think you were switching between present and past - but it didn't affect the quality of this fic much. As for the word that Emilie calls her grandfather, it's 'Grand-pere' and it literally means 'Grandfather'.
Good job, and by the way, thanks for reviewing my fic! :D

This is absolutely brilliant. It made her death so much more meaningful. You've put more emotion into the ending, when he gives the sash/Bannner to Albert, showing hoe much he was really given up.
As a side note, while I'm talking about the ending, the bit where Albert asks Emilie's grandfather what her name was, and he replies, "Her name was Emilie." That bit kinda terrified me, because that's been my pen name here for months. I was already a little freaked cause my name IS Emily, so that just added to it. Just thought I'd add that.
And I know you've already written this, but it may be useful in the future, perhaps: in the movie, Emilie calls her grandfather "Grand-père," which is the French term for grandfather. (;
Thank you for this story, it truly is amazing.
Best Wishes
