Just In
for Whatever the New Year may bring

There's a distinct feeling of finality and new beginnings. I really like the sense of reflection that comes with the end of a new year and the start of the new one, with the all-too-real events having taken place and the countries' views on them. Characterisation is very well done, in that regard.

And finally, there's a slight hint of melancholy when England ponders the way time just seems to slip through his fingers, and the slight sadness at seeing how much America's grown.

Very short and sweet! Love this! :)

When you talked about fireworks and Hong Kong, I couldn't help but remember how Hong Kong blew up England's house. Somehow I think it's going to be permanently stuck in my mind now...

Anyway, don't worry about posting your NYE fic a few days late. I'm still writing a fic for last year's Christmas so...

And I love this line "But if the world does end, it better bloody not end before the Olympics."

I like your description of the fireworks too but why, oh why no new year's kiss!
