OMG! Didn't I see that this story was listed as a tragedy at the top? Here I am reading it on my iPad with my little guy riding his tricycle up and down the driveway. I gasped several times towards the end as it became clear what would happen. Holy s%^&! (He curiously inquired if I was reading Dr. Seuss...)
Incredibly powerful stuff here. Must admit, I figured out Maribel and Bella were probably the same person. So sad. There are people in the world who are incredibly sensitive, over-empathic individuals and the world is just such a harsh place for them. So torturous for her. Edward was a saint (or a fool) to make a commitment to her. (She knew though, didn't she?)
Gosh, not sure where to begin. Should have taken notes. LOVED all the twilight references-seamlessly incorporated. Made me smile. Great use of these well-known characters, too. Just enough of SM mixed with you to make them utterly unique.
Really liked the time period you chose. Don't think I missed any of the time-period product references-well done-made a difference for this reader. That was the era of my grandparents and I kept trying to imagine them in this story.
You are an extraordinary story-teller. This couldn't be more different from HF. So jealous of that kind of talent. I'll read anything you want to post here.

I got the feeling that Bella was going to do something drastic after she found the lighter. I kind of knew where she was headed after that. I DEFINITELY DID NOT SEE THE ENDING COMING! Here I am hating Edward and now I just feel sorry for him. Poor guy! Should've known he could only ever love Bella. Fantastic sorry-if not slightly confusing. :)

At the beginning I thought they're the same person, then they are not grrr and then again they are (after info about B's wounds at war). I wasn't perfectly sure almost till the end. Good work!
ps. After reading this story and HF I can say I like your writing style. That was really good debut in the fandom. Keep it up! :)

Found this after I read HF. I am speechless. I was heartbroken for Bella through most of the story and really mad at Edward, thinking he was cheating on Bella. I could see that Bella was going to commit suicide with that straight razor. But didn't pick up on the split personality until the end. Very well done! Congratulations!

Very well written, thank you so much for sharing! I knew after the scene with the lighter but afterwards I realized that there were signs earlier (M couldn't have children and Bella's incident during the war etc.) and now it all makes sense :) Now on with you other story!

Wow! I'm completely speechless! I had to go back and re-read to figure out that she had a split personality! It still wasn't clear to me until I really started thinking about it! This was so beautifully written and so incredibly heartbreaking! Great job!
