cute and I liked how you showed these brief glimpses of the concern and asking for help without going all emotional, as that is not how the Holmes boys work

Awwww, how sweet ^_^! Although I must mention, in the bit when you say 'Mycroft was fifteen years old' you have Sherlock being ten when he should have been eight (seven year difference). Otherwise.. so cute!

It could not be possible for me to love this any more.
It was so beautifully idiosyncratic and a wonderful portrayal of Mycroft and Sherlock's relationship. I thought the repetition of showing the track-marks was beautifully poignant and spoke volumes for the pair of them. I loved it.

How are you doing this to me? I love this. I love this so much. I actually stopped breathing for a moment. (Wow, way to be a crazy internet fan...)
No, but really. I love character sketches, and I love Mycroft. And this was excellent. I love the "When Mycroft was _ years and _ months old" structure, and I love the minimalist way you make it so, so abundantly clear the way these brothers' relationship works. It's honestly amazing.
The way you had Sherlock asking for help was spot on, and this "Mycroft had also given up trying to explain to the man what poultry below room temperature had to do with giving up his vices, and the phrase "cold turkey" now remained unused and unexplained to Sherlock." was the perfect touch of humor and true-to-character image of Sherlock.
I shall cease babbling now. Thanks so much for sharing this! It's really, honestly brilliant.
