Hot damn! Angry Beckett is so awesome :) The whole time I was reading this I was just thinking, gosh I hope this is happening in the precinct and Ryan & Espo see/hear! haha I love the awkward 'family' moments - walking in on mum and dad having it out is always classic hehe :)

This was actually a really good thing to wake up to this morning :)
There’s a lot of stories in my inbox that I haven’t read, because of time restraints and such, but man I’m super happy that I clicked on this as I was waking up.
Firstly, you had me at Charles Dickens.
Secondly, I don’t know if this was your actual intention or it occurred by mistake or if I just have their secrets on my mind, but I totally bought the fake out. And then I didn’t even try and extend my thoughts further than that, because you gave us angry Beckett and angry Beckett is my favourite Beckett and man you done her well. So when it came to the bullet? Yeah, colour me surprised.
‘And he's had it. He's done.’ – powerful moment there. I’m waiting to see that shift on the show, you know, the one that either makes them or breaks them.
‘...reels her back to him, isn't going to let her get away this time.’ – I love, *love* how many ways this can be taken as and how it all just leads back to the one same thing.
‘He lifts a hand to his head, running his fingers through his hair.’ – things like this are what I love about fans as authors. Tiny little subtleties that are so true to character that just bring an entire moment or story together.
