Actually, Children Of The Moon would be the classic wearwolves that stand on two legs and only change with the full moon. The Quiliutes would just be the Wearwolves or, more accurately, the Shapeshifters. Love these stories, btw :D

Oh, so I'm really enjoying this. It's not an idea I have read before. I'll admit that in the beginning, even though we knew that Bella was in there, the idea that Edward had imprinted on an animal was a little... far fetched. Just for the actual mating side of things, as I don't enjoy reading bestiality... lol. Especially that the family acted as though it was perfectly normal. But thankfully Bella was able to show him that she understood and it progressed from there without it being a physical relationship and it's actually a really nice story.
I'm wondering who the girl is in the clearing. My first thought was Annie, or perhaps a daughter, but Bella said that she was bitten, so I'm not sure. Unless it's an actual family trait, as in a , if the person that bit her originally was Annie, but then she wouldn't have thrown Bella out... The congealed blood threw me for a loop though, as I think it rules out her being changed. The weather is already starting to cool and I'm concerned that Bella will turn back so quickly :(

This chapter reminded me greatly of the Shiver novels. Was that your inspiration for this fic? If you've already referenced that in an AN, I apologize, I've not read them all.
