...I maybe died a little inside at this. It was so cute, and so painfully in character...
My heartstrings. Seriously. Lay off 'em.
Thanks for the great read!

Disappointingly complete. But it was a great, adorable read. I'm just miffed it's over. ^^

Frickin' A, Irene - this was perfect. I only had one issue with it... and it was this part: "apologies for making Dave sound less like Dave and more like, well, me." If that's what YOU sound like then, in my head, you sound pretty much exactly like Dave!
I think a problem we Pirates have (some of us, anyway) is that, because Dave's character hasn't been developed anywhere near as much as it should have been (shame on you, RIB+6), we've almost created a Dave of our own. A character based on assumptions, on meaningful looks, on possibilities and potential, on Max Adler's ridiculously good acting, and dare I say it on some of the best fanfiction in existence. An outsider, someone who hasn't given Dave's storyline a second thought, might read this and think it doesn't sound anything like him. To me - it was perfect. The frustration, the confusion, the self-doubt, the passion, the hope, the sadness - it was all captured beautifully. I loved it xxx
