This is such a powerful story. Especially Ariadne's character. "The girl acted as if she'd been broken, and couldn't be bothered to be put back together." and "Oh Arthur, I wish you'd just let me die already." Yeah. Those lines got my attention. Of course, I kind of wanted her to escape at the end of the story too, but this wasn't exactly a fairytale. Maybe that makes it more powerful. At least you let her live. I can just imagine a glassy-eyed, doll-like smile on that cute angelic face of hers after being smothered by Cobb or something. It would have been poetic, but also quite tragic. And I'm a sucker for Arthur and Eames of course. "Anytime, love." *Sigh* Really awesome story. Usually I like them to adhere more to the actual concept (in the case of Inception, dreaming) but this was quite spectacular. Keep writing.

Okay, no. No, no, no. It is soooo not okay that this only has two reviews. This is a brilliant piece of writing, and it ought to have been read and been given many more comments.
Therefore! Allow me, dear author, to give you much adulation.
Your characterization? It was freaking spot freaking on. Just... It was phenomenal. It's crazy how well you fit their personalities to being prostitutes. They didn't go out of character at ALL, and I just- Oooh, it was delightful.
Also! The plot? Oh, the plot was dear. I like how they'd already had the point of coming together pre-story. That was a wonderful idea, and it worked out swimmingly. As a reader, I really enjoyed how you used the unwritten but referenced even as a major catalyst.
Oh, and Arthur's tragedy? Dear goodness, let me weep. Really, it was quite fitting with his need to have control, which then fit in with his "punishment" and the toll it took on him.
Next, Eames and his need to poke at and comfort Arthur was just brilliant. It was a great treat to read. I was able to laugh with the pet names (including the Arthur's "suggestion) and could get teary eyed when he became so upset at the clients' treatment of the other man.
Finally, Ariadne and Cobb. Oh, they're just gloriously dysfunctional and I love the way you wrote it. Ariadne and her desire to fade away was compelling and interesting, and Cobb's breakdown after his wife's double-murder-suicide (which was a depressing but very nice touch) made my heart ache.
Just a quick tip, though, if that's all right? I'd go through it again or ask someone to beta it. There are a few little things but nothing serious. I do hope this doesn't come across poorly, because I know that when reading my un-betaed works, I find little things I missed.
Not to end on a This story was absolutely cruel to my emotions, and I cannot thank you enough.

Very nice. Good Eames and Arthur interaction, but I think I like the way you wrote Cobb/Ariadne the most. Very revealing on Cobb's part.
