I finally found it! I've been looking for this story for the past 2 hours, give or take. I must be blind. I was looking through the Battousai & Kaoru stories with a T rating, and I went through all the way back through stories that haven't been updated in 5, 6 years. I remembered it was newer, though. It's kind of sad to see it hasn't been updated, and I wonder if it will be at some point? I'd definitely follow it, read, and review.
Anyways, I remembered it specifically for Battousai's attitude, and the fact that Kaoru thought he was going to jump off the building. Probably only I can find the humor in it, but I thouroughly enjoyed the situation.

this is interesting. i wonder where you're taking it. kenshin's attitude is rather abrasive, i guess she did right not pointing that out as a possible reason for his not having friends therefore feeling the need to commit suicide because i don't think that's a way to talk a potential suicide down.

Red haIr is really uncommon. I'm surprised Kaoru didn't think of her "suicide case" when she heard that, lol. Looking forward to the next update.
