9/11 I was in the finals testing for my insurance licensing. 9/13 they loaded us on a bus, and hauled us to NY where they put us into a borrowed/stolen a storefront, and for the next 2 weeks we processed claim reports. In 2015 my house burnt down, a d I freaked the fire marshal to the point he wanted to charge me with burning my own house down because I wasn't freaking out. I explained my 9/11 experience to him and he understood. My first claim report, because I speak French was taking the report of a French company that lost all 40 people in a minute. All I lost was belongings and my cat.

Bringing 9/11 into the story pulled up so many emotions, as someone who lived there during that time, and knew some people who died there.
The block we lived in in Staten Island, had a funeral home where almost 300 victims were buried out of it. I still have nightmares after twenty years of that day and the long torturous days following.
You have a beautiful way of writing, expressing situations. Bless you. I can't stop reading your story.
