Oh boy that is a ending to a chapter that I hate you don’t know who is on the other side.
Life gets in the way for people all the time. I just hope you will update sooner than later. I had to reread the whole thing to understand what was happening but it’s a fun story

I love the story. It is heartfelt and I know how a separation of the man you love most hurts! I know first hand twice over.
I love the love of my life by our choices many years ago. But I still was able to find love and it lasted for 43 years! I still miss him and think of them both often.
As for your story: I like that Stephanie got her promotion. It will do wonders for her self esteem.
One beta note: In the conversation you say: "talking about the growl in Stephanie's stomach. You meant to say "you might scare OFF the clients" But you forgot the second "f" so it came out as "might of scared the clients" Both sentences are considered correct but the "off" is more of what the reader would expect, in my opinion. Hope I don't hurt your feelings by my suggestion. If so I am sorry. I only mentioned it to enhance the story NOT DETRACT from it.

Steph did a great job on landing such a big account and making partner with what sounds like a HUGE salary. Glad she’s hearing from Carlos. Don’t want to see him MIA from the story just because he’s away on a mission. I know - I’m selfish! Lol! Great writing:-)

Thankfully Steph has her work, Donna and now a beginning friendship with Lula to keep her company and busy while Ranger is gone. So excited to see this new job they will do and that Steph made partnership with a great salary.
