Very interesting.
I like the prologue a lot to be honest. The way you wrote it with the whole Codex style was very nice. Also, I like the background that you gave the whole story and how you transitioned it over to the Mass Effect story line. With the whole Great Crash and Sarif Cache, it was very nice.
I am guessing that sense Adam can't be a Spectre he might be join up with Shepard's crew.
Seeing as this is only a prologue there is not much to write about. I look forward to reading more and seeing how this story turns out.
Keep up the good work and I hope you update soon.

Good idea! The execution is decent as well - hopefully as a prologue?
The Cache is certainly plausible - though hundreds of employees might be straining the limits of hiding the papertrail. It would also be good to have Adam reveal his reasons for going along with it.
Rambling: I think this story would actually benefit most from starting with ME1. Saren was himself rather heavily augmented with reapertech, and there's a nice symmetry in having him be resurrected again by Cerberus. It'd also give more time to develop the augmentation ethics - as a Spectre (perhaps) and representing humanity, Adam Jensen the Cyberzombie has a lot of potential that the "suicide mission" or "reapers everywhere" might override.

A really nice start here dear writer, I'll look foward to see were this story is going. I would hate to see this fic to go with the usual "2 badass from 2 games team up and kill bad guys together" plot. I have no problem with Shepard, but this story would be more exciting with Jensen as the main character. How he reacts and copes with the world around him, a fresh perspective, I think. Shepard can't give us this perspective, since he is in his own universe, he can literally do anything in his universe, and its nothing new all in all. Anyways, I'm looking forward for the next chapter, you have another one guaranteed reader! :D

I can guess that one of the two will happen: either Jensen works alongside Shephard or he became the Shephard of this story. Both has their own merits, but since augmentations are illegal the former will probably be difficult.
I'm eagerly waiting on how you will spin this story. :D

The Sarif Cache is a nifty idea. I'd like to see more about how Jensen adapted to this strange new world though. Will the conspiracies from the Deus Ex world show up? Were the Dentons ever created in this continuity?
