I was watching a period piece anime movie and the first thing i though of was this fic which I read ages ago. So i went about trying to find it again. Seriously love. i realise it has been years and likely you're not on fanfic anymore, but if you do happen to read this review, just wanna say that I really appreciate your writings. :D

does Rukia ever get a happy ever after?
did she ever realized that she slayed Hijikata and not Sannan?
where do Hollows go after being killed by Reapers?

Omg! Why?!
The ending just totally ripped my heart out and bled my tear ducts dry.
Great story through and through. No happy ending here but this fic is definitely memorable enough.
I feel so bad for Hijikata though. Same goes for the members of Shinsengumi. So tragic.

... Did you forget Shiranui's name? Or maybe just because Rukia wasn't 'in-the-know' about Kazama, Shiranui and the others/
Also, I'm terribly sad you felt the need to kill of Chizuru. I think she would have made a better asset to this story had you decided to keep her.
BAAAHHHHHHHHHHH I was so excited to see that someone else noticed the parallels between Byakuya and Hijikata OTL it's been running through my head for forever and I keep trying to think of a good way to cross them. :) Thanks for posting.

T_T well this is the second time i read this story and i really just cant get enough...it is exceptionally written and extremely effective in conveying Rukia's feelings and the almost but in the end impossible situation that could have been. Not to mention it was genius to combine both Bleach (especially Ruki .) and HSK...wish there was more

I really loved this story despite how sad it is. Despite knowing who is going to die among the Hakuoki characters it's always sad to read about it. I liked your version of the younger Urahara and couldn't help but feel sad for Rukia at the end.

very good story. it flowed very smoothly even with the cross-over. i liked how it didn't have a happy ending (wrong as it may sound) and the touch of sadness gave the story a lot of depth. keep writing. i really look forward to reading your stories (esp. with rukia ^^)

This was great, i love that Urahara is in this, he's exactly to character. I've never heard of Hakuoki (i know that's soo bad), so i totally had to google image the characters so i could get an image of them in this fic. I loved it, this was fitting. I figured Hijitaka was the hollow say after half way through, the ending or at least how she was returned to her own time was so fitting.
Great fic. Now i want more crossovers of this.
