I read this at another site and loved it. (I believe it was Credit Dauphine, but I digress.) All I have to say is this left me all angsty - tight chest, burning eyes, achy throat - and there is nothing better in the world. Simply put, this is an amazing piece of fiction.

What did I love about this...? Besides everything. :)
The theme that hit me most with this fic is the concept of Syd defining herself by negatives. It's not just the "not pregnant"-it's liking a movie because of the part that's not real, and her first draft of "Everything I know" is empty, to "She thinks about him when she's not thinking about anything." The obvious and the no-so-much.
Really, really good story.

This was amazing, Kat. I loved it all, especially the list theme. You wonderfully described Sydney's thoughts and made a believable post-ATY scenario. Excellent!

This story feels incredibly real, with all the little details included. My life's not nearly as confusing as Syd's, but I think I'd like to make a similar list right now... you're an inspiration. :)

Kat, you did a spectacular job with the story. The way that you began and ended the story with the same idea - that she wasn't pregnant - was genius-inspired. I read this three times over (I always read everything I rev over, actually, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to rev it so I don't think it counts. Does it count?) and each time I found something else I liked it in. The little bit about Good Morning America may be my favorite part. For no real reason. I mean, gee, I'm Karen. I read alien porn, I am Cat's Virginal Sacrifice in Catism. (Farscape and Dark Angel references . . .am I confusing anyone here? LoL). I must leave before I forget why I am . . . :)

you evilly talented bitch. The kind of talent that I would love to have, well, guess what, you did. This was awesome. Like, I can't even talk about how much I love it -beyond love, really- because I'll start using "colorful language" and offend people. So, I will save it for the CD review where I don't care about cuss words. Want to know the gist: you have mad talent. If I didn't love you I would hate you, and I probably hate you anyways, because you are so talented and I am a jealous type of person. I'm coming to your house on tuesday to just sit beside you and touch your pens, it is really that extreme of admiration. Thanks. Hil
