Nice job! I haven't read the other fic, but I wanted to respond to one of your reviews and figured, since your PM is off, that this was the best way. Anyway, I know you reviewed a while ago (3/11/12, to be exact; the one year anniversary of 3/11!, which is the Japan earthquake if you didn't know), but I was going through my New Identity reviews (yeah, I sometimes do that, I like to reread what people thought), and I came across yours. I don't believe I responded before since it was at the end of the fic, so I decided to do so now!
Anyway, yeah, I know, a lot of people disagree with my fascination for killing off a lot of my favorite characters. I honestly don't plan on it happening sometimes, it just goes with the story line. I just wanted to point out that, in this case, I actually let Alex live a lot longer than I usually do. He died at age 67(?) instead of about 15, which, for me, is a huge accomplishment. Sorry, I sound as if I'm defending myself, don't I? I'm really sorry about that. Anyway, yeah, just wanted to respond to the review.
Also, with your own fic (which is really good! :D), there was a little thing that annoyed me. When writing, never use bold print in the story. In the AN is okay, but never in the actually story. It just distracts the reader. I get why you did it in this case, but maybe underlining or something would be better. Sorry, someone actually pointed that out to me in A New Identity (Mine was worse, though, I was putting ANs inside the story. Ugh.) But yeah, other than that, great job! And sorry about using this fic to respond. But hey, it was part review! :P
