I like what you have done so far to start this story out. But I have to ask a couple of questions. How old is Gabrielle? She is definitely not the age she would be in Canon. She would only be eleven at this point if she was. And what did you mean by 'his mother's former fiance'? I sense an interesting back story there.

Lily will be shocked when she learns Harry is right under her nose and once she learns he was rescued by his godmother.
Harrys godmother should tear strips into Lily and James telling them how Harry s treated and the work that he and nothers put in building Harry back up.
It will be fuunny once Voldermort realises he has the wrong kid.
