great story. i suppose sherlock's failing memory was also caused by the poisoning?
very nice idea. only a small point is that you could have been more detailed about how reggie got the poison into the patches and be sure only sherlock dies, or rather how the police prevents that nobody else dies if reggie poisoned the whole batch.
cheers

I was really concerned in the beginning, thank you for not being a death fic I don't think my heart could take, thanks for the giggle at the end!

This is such a wonderful adaptation of the Dying Detective, it was perfectly written. I absolutely loved it.

Wow! I thought when I started reading the last few paragraphs that Sherlock was actually too far gone to save. I thought John was just taking him home to break the news, and allow him to die in his home away from the hospital bed he's always hated. I'm so glad you saw fit to allow him to survive one more villains deadly plan. Love this story, it was filled with tension, sick Sherlock and carrying John my fav!

Such a fun little ficlet, a complete case in one chapter. It's a nice change to read that and get closure, especially when you only have a half hour lunch break :) Thanks for the great read!

What a wonderful story.
This would have been a perfect episode for the show.
You did a wonderful job writing Sherlock and John's voices.
I loved the mystery of what was wrong with Sherlock and John's concern as he tried to save his friend's life.
I enjoyed reading your story.
Thanks for sharing it with us and for the smile. :)

So the broken ribs on the body were from some random Good Samaritan?
I must say I'm really enjoying your version of Holmes and Watson. Are these based on a movie, book, or tv show?
Maybe the dead body had the odor of alcohol lingering around it rather than on its breath? *wink*
Very, very enjoyable. Loved it. Want more. :)

Well written and delightful, with the added benefit of someone who checks their facts - monkshood is easily absorbed by the skin - ingestion usually has the nasty side affect of vomiting. (only issue there is sherlock having so many patches on - he may have been dead withing two hours or on the floor unable to breath if killer didn't plan that he would take 5 of the planned letal doses all at once.)
Still a terrific story and nice plotting to go along with the really nice character voice you had for each of them. I especially loved that John had spotted the signs - which helped Sherlock find the answer - great job on bringing that out - so many write John like Dr. = stupid.
Very nice story.
