Love that line. I also love Peter's and Neal's ongoing almost brotherly-bickering interaction.

This was a fantastic story, excellent case work, wonderful whumping, delightful crazy family, both Peter and Neal being protective, and the best ending ever! The butler did it [snicker]. I might espouse some more praise, but it's now 11:40 and I need to go to bed :) My brain has gone to mush without the addition of any good drugs :)

What an entertaining story, so far! Just the right blend of humor and intrigue. The whole “JJJ” thing is hysterical! I love the mansion… it has such a haunted house feel with all the eeriness created by the rain, disrepair, and mysterious figures in the window. The car that won’t start, the rain, and no lodging for the night, pays great homage to the Rocky Horror Picture Show. :) I love that you captured one of my favorite aspects of Peter’s personality: he is so comfortable in his skin, and confident in his ability, that it never fazes him when anyone, even someone he cares about, insults him. He does not need validation from anyone. At the same time, I love your hint of the bromance when it DOES bother Neal to see Peter insulted!

This was very enjoyable! I love mysteries set in huge mysterious old mansions, and the interaction between the guys - their banter and bickering and mutual concern - was really a lot of fun.

Another exciting chapter. My dislike for the Jameson Family has increased, if that's possible and I'm anxious to learn more about "Cousin It".
I'd been hoping the approaching dark storm would have forced Peter and Neal to stay the night. Our two heroes locked in with the crazy family. LOL
