I thought that the principal was a mean guy at first, but it sounds like he has some weird intentions for Percy. I can just imagine him in his dark office on a phone call, "yes Johnson. hehe. everything is going according to plan. by this time next week, we shall take over the TRI STATE AREA with the fast reflexes of Percy Jackson!"

Why would Percy of all people have the stalker photos in his room? I find it kind of funny that someone takes all these pictures of these kids and organizes them in a desk drawer. I can imagine him taking a picture of one of the kids sitting on a bench and being like "Ah, what was his name again. Started with an N. Ah Nico! Found his folder." That is kind of weird though...

I like that Annabeth has her own forte, gymnastics! It is so different from what I picture Annabeth as, but I guess it makes sense. Gymnastics requires focus as well as physical strength, so I feel like it matches the fact that we think of Annabeth as an intelligent person.
Ooo, movie night, eh? Wonder what's going to happen ;) I also think that in real life, Thalia would probably make hints at Annabeth about Percy. And also Percy would have thought about that touch the whole class (I know I would have :D)

I know that you are probably not going to update the story after almost a decade no matter how much I review it, but these reviews are for me :) I like to make sure I engage with each chapter as I read it so that I can slow down and "smell the roses" as one might say.
I am so glad that Percy actually gets to swim but I feel like "reflexes extending to [Percy's] lungs" is kind of weird. But I also know that you had to somehow have Percy have a reason to get into the pool. I also find it kind of funny that Annabeth actually tries swimming in her normal clothes; I would probably have gotten out first thing and started being frustrated. But hopefully after changing after some clean clothes I could forgive Percy.
The relationship is great and I ship that Percy is not some perv like the other dudes. Did Annabeth ever like Luke? Why does the math teacher hate her and only her? What do you mean that Thalia hands her homework in the next day (like she hands her homework in late?) Why doesn't Annabeth be a better friend by copying it the day before it's due? Or not copying at all since she is a smart girl?
So many questions! I like the plot line :D

I am actually down for Thalico but I still do feel like Annabeth is a bit OOC. I do think that this is your story, so perhaps this is how you wished to see Annabeth and Percy in the canon? I personally think that a bit of tension and objectivity (like the characters don't really interact in a flirtatious way) before people get into a relationship is good - if you don't see how they are before you are nice to them, how will you know how they will turn out after the honeymoon phase?
I also really liked Nico screaming at Percy in the last chapter - it was pretty funny and I would have been so embarrassed. I still don't think canon Annabeth would have ever admitted to Percy that he was cute, even after they were married probably, haha!

I think having Annabeth instead of Luke in this canon moment when Percy realizes he is good at sword fighting is nice - I think it makes sense since you want to have Percy and Annabeth be closer together.
A criticism I have is that Annabeth would never give Percy the time of day in the canon, at least at the beginning. I feel like that is something that Percy kind of is attracted to - that she doesn't care that he is a son of the "Big Three" or whatever. To her, he is the guy who "drools in his sleep".
Also, I like that you let Annabeth win (how weird would it be if Percy without any training just beat the best on the first day) but they had a effortful fight.

Wow! I really like it so far - I think that if a Percabeth fanfic is giving me that is just slightly different than the real books, then I wouldn't read it, you know? I read fanfic because I finished the real books, and I want something different!
I do like that Nico is proud of his ability rather than being like "oh man, I am the shadow dude". Haha, I read that in probably the voice of the Cookie Monster, but deeper.

It’s been roughly a year since the pandemic seriously affected U.S.A.
