Loved this "almost prequel" -I have to re-read your stories to get back up to speed.
Because all of CHs' novels are from Sookie's PoV, the only insight Charlaine has given us of other things that have gone on was in the "secret conversations between Eric and Bill" in the SS Companion. We see the phone/e-mail conversations after the synopsis of each book. In DD, when Eric confronts Bill in front of Sookie about why he really came to Bon Temps and Sookie ran out of the hospital, we find out that Eric did, indeed, follow her back to Hadley's apartment.
Sigh...this would have been a great beginning!
