Awesome, thrilling story. But poor Gibbs... those *-& &-& ! (Can't find an expression strong enough to describe those vermin)- I really hope he'll recover. I like how the team stays by his side and his dad too. He'll need every help he can get after his horrible ordeal.
Vance...well, he's been an ass. He's got much to apologize for. I'm a bit sad though that he's such a bastard in this story...so far I like his character in the show. He's got his faults but, well...he's human.
Nevertheless, this story is written very well and you keep the suspense up all the time. You've got a way with words that is very convincing...okay, wrong expression, I think. What I mean is that you're writing in a way that makes it impossible to predict what will happen. I truly believed Gibbs had died this time (I believed it before as well, to tell the truth). The situations, the feelings, the reactions. Seriously, I was crying. And this time, you were so convincing with your description of Gibbs death that I almost closed the story and didn't finish it. I'm glad I didn't do that.
I don't know whether you're still planning on writing for this story, but if you are, I look forward to the next chapters.

Very good chapter, however, drop the McGee and Abby thing, keep it a Drama/Crime/Suspense/Friendship story, also, I can see the anger the team has towards Vance but I think Gibbs action with going to the office and what he dis in the office shows that he gets it and knows what Vance is going through.
Can't wait to read the next chapter(s), keep up the good work.
Also, I hope you plan on doing another NCIS/Gibbs Crime/Suspense/Drama story!

I love how you wrote the bond and interaction of the two Gibbs, perfect on how a father would be with the only precious thing in his life his son in such a situation. And the younger Gibbs response knowing he needs his fathers strength and love.

I just found your story tonight because of your update and right now I am so engrossed in it. It is a fabulous plot and you are a very good writer, a few grammatical errors that's all.
You have really captured the characters properly and their essence comes through well. However, the way you are writing Jackie Vance is outstanding, I specially love what she tells Ducky when he is blaming himself for Vance being taken, that is so HER!

Great update. Everyones emotions so freely admitted. They think he can't hear them but he can hear and sense them. I hope Jackson does some real hurt to Vance. Even in his coma,Gibbs could sense danger with Vance. Anxiously awaiting the next chapter.

I finally made it! What a roller-coaster ride of a story!
I wonder who, besides Jackson, will sit with Gibbs. It's always seemed to me that Tony is the one who would lose the most from his life if he lost Gibbs.
Even with all the feelings of guilt, when push came to shove, I guess we saw where Vance's true loyalties lie - with himself. I hope there are some consequences for his actions.
I have no more chapters to catch up on, so now you have to hurry and update soon! (I'm sending you virtual raspberry chocolate truffles as a motivator.)

What is Vance's problem!? If all the guy wants is for him to admit what he did (as opposed to giving him the Thor code) why doesn't he do it?

Wonder how these guys got into the building?
For that matter, ever wonder why everyone (Fornell, for instance) gets off the elevator, comes through the bullpen, and takes the stairs to go see the Director? The elevator has to go up to that floor, otherwise people with disabilities couldn't get to MTAC or to the Director - which is illegal in a public building (at least in the US.)
And now to 14...
