wow...i mean i have been binge reading this since yesterday but i have absolutely no idea that the story would end that way. To be frank i’m kinda well...disaapointed because it’s not the ending that I hope it would be, I have been fantasizing the epilogue’s will b about lane and legolas and their children living in Mirkwood.. I mean I don’t know it’s just as if what I’ve been reading is a fake bcs Lane’s not really a Marine and all that stuff..shame really but uh I respect you for making such a twist and there have been countless time where i am amazed over and over by how remarkable your writing is, your vocabulary and the way you tell us the story like the battle scenes and the thinking is just superb so kudos for you author !

OMG, I don't know what to do with myself now. It was such an amazing trilogy. It made me cry and laugh too many times. The ending seems bittersweet to me, specially after reading " the darker side of hope". I'm a sucker for happy endings too, but I still feel like none of those was a happy ending. Nevertheless, they were really good, both of them. You made me hate those Valar! Sometimes it really seems that people in LOTR accepts so easily what the Valar say and don't have their own thoughts. Anyways, thanks for sharing this stories with us.

Yes! Now I like this ending. The other ones were depressing, and even if I understand that not all stories are full of joy, I do not like to add the weight of sad stories to real life, where there is enough of those.
Turning to this chapter, it would have been interesting to see how it would have turn out if she would have chosen to forget her memories, she would have been a different person for sure.
Also, because of the different endings, I ended up confused about what really happened in her life.
I liked your emphasis that marriage doesn't make a happy ever after, and that married life is difficult. I agree! as I do agree that with a compromise in actively trying to keep loving, is possible to maintain an overall happy marriage.
