Re-reading this for the fourth time in several years (I always loved to come back to this fic), quite a few uncomfortable truths have struck me.
It's apparent in this fic (and others) just how much you dislike Lily Evans-Potter, purely because she's proud of her heritage and upbringing. You make her out to be brash and judgmental when actually, we don't see any of that in canon. The only time we see her make any kind of harsh call is when she stops accepting the meaningless apologies of a racist because he clearly doesn't mean it as he continues to associate with racists do say those things openly. That's not judgmental, that's integrity.
You generally conflate sophistication with an acceptance of pureblood mores (which is profoundly baffling, since ALL there is is pureblood racism in canon, no culture to speak of). You also have a LOT of internalised misogyny in this fic, and you've kind of normalised it. Hermione Potter deals with being a second class citizen in many ways this entire fic, struggles with double standards and males trying to tell her what to do for her entire life, only for you to end up affirming those same double-standards right at the end with Cassiopeia (who must remain virginal and pure, no dating allowed, must sit and talk and walk like a "lady") and Cepheus who apparently fucks anything that walks. But that's ok because he's a man. It literally undermines the entire story you've written where Hermione forges her own path and breaks out of the stereotypes and gender roles. I can't read this story anymore which is really sad. We don't need to normalising or romanticising misogyny in this day and age- we're way past it and there's enough of it as it is. I don't want my daughter thinking any of those things.

would be really interesting to see a side story of sorts of Hermione dying and continuing this scene of meeting Lucius and Draco as she starts at Hogwarts again! Definitely would love to see that if you were ever up to writing for this story again

- This vision was so palpable. The perfect amount of angst. SUCH GOOD FANFICTION
- I love the idea of Uncle Alphard having to listen to Sirius rant about how Lucius isn't even that cool haha. Great imagery
- Hermione saying that the place is small and inelegant and then saying it's larger than their home felt tactless?
- I love that they spent their last non-married night together. So cute
