So excited to see an update on this story. You really took me by surprise with the events of this chapter (which is great storytelling, bravo!)
First, love that Tom made it back to Matt's group. His first spoken line ("Where are my boys?") was just perfect... it's exactly what I'd expect of Tom Mason.
And second, the developments with Hal... so interesting! I was at first happy to see him on the mend and no longer as delirious with fever. Very touching the way Ben stayed and looked after his brother. But then, his "possession" by the blue light parasites took me off guard and had me as shocked as Weaver, Anne, Ben, and the rest. What in the world are they going to do with Hal? How can they help him? When will Tom's group catch up with them?
Love this so much!

I was so happy when I saw that you had updated! I love this story and I love Falling Skies! S2 is amazing so far, and its such a shame that you can't see it! (I'm in the UK too, but I get FX... have you looked online?)
I can't wait for another update, and to find out what's going to happen! Poor Hal!

Okay, that cracking sound. Yep, that was my heart breaking. Because, god Mom. I mean aww. That seriously made me have to stop and i started crying. Because ur story is amazing and beautiful and worth every review in the whole world. :)

That was amazing. You have an excellent handle on each character's voice; it felt very authentic to the show. You really had my heart aching for Hal. When he mistook Anne for his mother in the throes of his fever... it really got to me.
Here are a few of the lines that really struck me:
"a boy who was family to one but considered as family to all of them." Really lovely job of capturing the sense of community that the 2nd Mass has developed.
"the teenager who should have his mom, the teenager that should only be worried about girls and lacrosse, instead he was a teenager who had been morphed into a man who fought aliens and mechanical creatures every day and was able to wield a gun but not legally consume alcohol." Just beautiful. Yes. Hal is so mature in the show that it's so easy to forget that he is just a teenager. *sad*
I really hope you continue this... maybe even make it AU with Tom coming back and his reaction. Thanks for this!
