Hmm...I think the plot has really somewhere to turn to.
And if mature contents are necessary, why not?
I don't think you have to change the rating. It's good enough like that.

Now that was a nice way to end that chapter :)
The only complaint that I have at all is that the structuring is, no offense, a bit messy. Try starting a new paragraph when you're switching from person to person speaking and maybe, since there's no indentation, leaving a space between paragraphs, it'll make it easier to read and cleaner looking.
But don't get me wrong, I love the story so far :)
