I am so very sorry for your loss. I know from personal experience how debilitating grief is. You owe us no explanation, and no obligation to finish this story. I appreciate all the time and dedication you have already given to this and although I hope you are able to complete it, nothing is more important than your self-care and mental health. The pain of grief never goes away, but it does get easier, eventually. Sending virtual love, support, and hugs.

I'm so sorry for your loss! I can't imagine your devastation. I hope you're able to heal and find a way to treat your anxiety again. My daughter and I have it, and it is REAL! All my best!

But hi sweetie, i am so sorry about your brother. I am keeping you and your family in my prayers. I hope your brother finds peace in the life thereafter.
Everything you mentioned: low motivation, low energy, busyness, grief, life. Is completely understandable. The past few years surely has not made it easy. Perhaps in time, writing could become a relief or an escape (again). Thank you for putting out such a great story when you could (and when you will).
I wish you enough, sweetie, and you get to take care of you in whatever capacity that may be. Until the next chapter (literally and figuratively).

Hey, take your time! 2020-2021 has been a rough for everyone and everyone has different ways on handling all that has happened. As long as you’re okay, that’s the most important aspect to this. Sorry about your brother though…Just take your time on getting through everything!

The riddles are very interesting! I really enjoy the entire concept of this hunt for answers. It's a nice mixture of magical and philosophical :-)

Looks like I commented too soon, he does make sense. He's overwhelmed and scared and the way you brought it all together in this chapter really helps with the characterisation. Well done author you really wrapped that up nicely!

Correction: I just saw that this is tagged as M. Please disregard what I said about younger readers. It is still bad to make her ability to tolerate his abuse into some kind of hallmark of how much she loves him but you've done what you could to show that this story isn't for young people and it's not your job to make sure everyone understands what constitutes as abuse. Sorry about that.

I agree sometimes in life completely random things happen. But you're sharing both of their POVs so readers know their motivations, ambitions and feelings. That's not a real life situation. If completely random things done by the characters that seem incredibly OOC still happen that's not something writers usually want.
You generally want your readers to be able to at least guess the next thing because that means you've managed to create a character that makes sense in itself. If you're throwing your readers for a loop it's usually fine when you can elaborate and make it part of who your character is. For example Draco pushing Hermione away because he wants to protect her would make sense but not in this situation becaus he doesn't know how much danger they are in and still thinks Voldy is gone at this point / hasn't come to a decision on how he wants to deal with his dreams yet.
So I would actually say that the last chapters twist was poorly done because it was too random. Also writing an adolescent boy use slurs and violence against a girl he likes and making her ability to tolerate and forgive that into some kind of proof for love is inherently wrong. Just FYI. She is allowed to love herself more and want to keep herself safe from someone who treats her poorly without that being used as any reflection on how deeply she feels for Draco. Kind of a weird message to send there, especially to younger readers.
