Omg omg Omg- you're back! Your really back! I knew you would return! I've had this story in my favorites and watch for over a year, hoping that you would start writing again! You're the reason that I started writing and posting to fanfiction too, I loved your story and still do. It's been a long wait, but worth it. It's great to have you back!
As a fellow member of law enforcement and writer, I can understand being busy with life and work. It's okay to not be into the story the same way you were before after stepping back for so long. Just know that everything takes build up and you can always shape it into a new creation that you'll be satisfied with, even if it takes a few flat chapters to get there.
Personally, I think this was a great chapter, especially after your "vacation" from the story. There were a few small mistakes, like hwat instead of what, but really, it was completely interpret-able and interesting.
Can't wait to see the next chapter, and what happens with that settlement. Keep up the good work, and thanks for brightening my week with an update. :)

I guess that's another roadblock out of the way. I'm glad that Saeko took Rykers' past so well, and well...things sure steamed up there at the end.

The chapter title said it all, "Dark Pasts and a Bright Future", and that's exactly what I read. Good job on Saeko and Ryker's relationship, it seems to be progressing smoothly.

More Saeko/Ryker please? Saya/Ryker is cute and it would be nice in several ways to have the three of them together, but Saeko is by far my favorite female in the group. though I've also been hoping to see someone write a lasting Saeko/Saya story since they would be so very good for each other.
