I really loved this; it rises above the challenge you were answering. Your sentence is sheer poetry. I love the symbolism of each of the "three places" and how they reflect the aspects of his reaction to the ship. Well done!

Hello pretty piratista and thank you so much for sharing this wonderful bit. Your lovely words made me all teary eyed, knocked my socks off. Poor poor Jack Sparrow, all there by himself and shown the Pearl in all her glory. Most excellent choice for treats miz sharks-pick of the litter. So glad to be reading something you've writ.

"and the spot on hip where his pistol rides... the very metal stirs"
- A very chilling segment and my favorite part. A whole story in one well written sentence.

Awww... poor Jack... . He got there in the end... The Black Pearl is actually a pretty old ship, been sailing around for at least eighteen years, unless you count the resurrection bits as starting from new. That is hands down the LONGEST sentence I've ever seen. XD I congratulate you on managing to keep that from becoming a run-on sentence!
