This chapter was amazing!
I especially liked the part when Loretta and Gene talked about stars. I could almost imagine them standing at the edge of town and looking at the night sky... it was simply wonderful :)

I have to admit, the beginning scared me... you're really talented for writing drama, that's certain.
Anyway, this chapter was excellent! I liked it very much, especially the parts with Bull and Lottie together :)
As for ideas... well, I thought about John's letter to Lottie. Her father's body was never found, right? What if he wasn't in that house at all? This might seem improbable... but, what if he decided to leave and search for her forgiveness?

This chapter was so moving... I was really sad when I came to the end of it...
Your writing is amazing, especially while you describe Lottie's thoughts. But, I feel so sorry for her... I hope this story will have a happy end for her. I mean, she really deserves it, after everything.

The story is great and I'm glad your back. Lotties not to dramatic, you could probably go a little darker. My only thought was that alfie wasn't there to greet them.
