Wow, you've created a really realistic relationship here. I like that it all comes from Krista's point of view, but we still get glimpses of how Matthew is feeling. In fact, I just want to slap them both upside the head because neither of them are doing everything they can do to fix this marriage! Although, I will admit that I feel worse for Krista. It must be hard to be the sensible, money-saving one. I imagine it must be easier to be able to sort of lurch along blindly the way Matthew does.
It just feels really /real/ that's all I can say, it seems. I don't know how to explain it, but I'm very impressed. I like the way you handled the wish too. Very matter-of-factly, just the way Krista handles everything. Can't wait to read more!

Muy interesante! I'm liking it so far. I like the little snippets we get of their personalities, like when he says he gives up on their relationship and she just tells him to not be ridiculous. I also appreciate that she holed out Great Expectations for storing her life savings. Heh.
