I like your story, conceptually, but realistically I can't get past how OOC both Draco and especially Hermione are. I'm not sure Gabriella adds or detracts from the story, but Harry and Ron's absence in Hermione's life when they're all back at Hogwarts is odd and awkward. she's suddenly so much closer with a bunch of girls and it doesn't seem right, given all that she and Harry and Ron have gone through. I like the premise of your story, but at 22 chapters in and barely now getting to the dragon stuff, with only 11 chapters left, seems a bit ridiculous and like the story overall hasn't been paced well. I really want to enjoy this story but I'm having a hard time wanting to continue. I do thank you for sharing, perhaps your Hermione is just not my cup of tea.
