Whoa. That was hilarious. I knew they were playing some game, but I at first thought maybe it was Battleship. Glad to see it's chess as I can see Donnie playing that game. Raph better watch out though. Don's on the warpath, and that's not good. Nicely done on this. I'll be eagerly awaiting an update.

Now to gush and ramble as I am so oft to do when inspired...
ah...The layers that develop from this early glimpse of a relationship so crucial, so binding, ah, don't you see, the ferocious need? The overwhelming love? The need to be accepted...praised...The love that was powerful enough to stamp back the fear...beat back the self-loathing? These layers that sowed the seeds of rank and deep rooted jealousy over a certain blue-banded 'father's favorite'?

Excellent. The irony and the horror of the deed all wrapped up like a little present from fate.
Not that you need this, but, ahem, lights please...
Mikey is someone who is emotional but not the way Raph is. He's light to Raph's dark. I see these two as two sides of the same coin.
He's full of natural positive energy, full of life, joyous and open to sensations and experiences with an open mind and heart. I think that's why he gravitated to cooking for them, the art of using all the senses to make something good but also to nourish his family.
He's sensitive but not a cry baby, he's attuned with his brothers in a way the others are not. He can sense their hurt, confusion and love more deeply than the others. In a sense he IS the heart of the team. The fulcrum of the family - ever keeping them together any time they begin to drift.
He's athletic and FAST.
And he's not stupid or dim witted. He's actually very sharp witted, just not as biting as Raph. He is optimistic and forgiving. He is sometimes too trusting and often his heart is too open for his own good.
That is how I see Michelangelo, Rebel. XD

It would be really interesting if Raph really did have a supernatural or scientific reason for his anger, be it demons or a bad reaction to the mutagen.
His brothers would just assume he merely has behavior problems and wouldn't understand why Raph has the inability to control his temper like a normal person whereas Splinter would sadly know better.
