I love this simile. It's so visceral and it's cool how it eludes to Darius, yet has beauty.

Hahaha Beth just says whatever comes to her mind, doesn’t she? Forget tact and go for candor. :D
Somehow, I get the feeling though it’s going to get her into trouble. Everyone can read her emotions like a book.
I think it’s actually kind of sweet the way Aro watches over Anna. He may have an ulterior motive, but I think he would take good care of her. In fact, I honestly don’t see Aro as needing Chelsea that bad (except for maybe Jane and Alec) because of his smooth way of charming people. A lost vampire with no friends would probably look at Aro’s invitation into the Volturi as a blessing.

You know I have a love for horror, so I thought the Darius chapters were really cool. He so dark and single-minded. Yet it was quite satisfying to see Aro rip off his head. :DDD

I'm really liking this first chapter! After reading the first few paragraphs, the story just drew me in, and I can't wait to read what happens next! I really like your style of writing, some parts almost sound like poetry, like the way you compare things. Like when you said she felt the memory slip off her, like a frosted veil. That was really good! Memory can feel like that, huh? Do you write poetry? If not, you definitely should, you would be awesome at it! I don't normally read Twilight fics, but yours I already love, and it's only been the first chapter!
