Just wanted to say that the paragraph in response to what Shirou said, where it was saying water is wet and stones fall downward, would have been an awesome opportunity to use Shirou’s semi-iconic “people die when they are killed” line.

Before any says that a compione won't or can't take on TYPE ,you just have to look at the compione wiki. Kusanagi Gudou gained an Authority that lets him manipulate fate destiny and other concepts on multiverse level or several parallel universes. If you think I'm lying to you go check oon the I don't get the Nerfing of Shirou if there are this level of Authority a god can posses and Gudou have reached this level on the light novel.

Brother Bov I don't want the MC to curb stomp his way across the story .I don't know about you but this story sucks. To each their own I Author doesn't deliver what he story was meant to be about the journey of Shirou in a foreign world, where the age of gods didn't end and he gained the powers of Godlike abilities from these mentioned gods and his STRUGGLE against said gods but all the having the ability to overcome said challenges. Now I love good plot and character development More than anything but this is more than giving Shirou Powerful Abilities and making him As you said one dimensional character .Where is the improvement of Shirou,in His fighting style and is One dimensional in his fighting prowess in this fic and doesn't improve or the Author doesn't even know how to make or show his character in that way .Shirou as character is more complex than Gudou and his usage of the UBW is OP now that he has access to Massive prana .With UBW he can Trace any weapons he so desires ,not only that but he gains the skills of the owner of the said 's impairment was only his physical body and magical reserves now that the problem is can do a lot more .Another Thing is Shirou was changed as compione down to his soul or how else will he will be able to handle the gods means his mind is alien know or divine and he can now Trace previously thought impossible why not Ea or the chain of enkidu .Some how OP that will make but remember even as a human Shirou had the ability to trace Excalibur, sure it will kill him but he could do it. Some people dont understand that curbstomps and over-powered characters eventually get boring and merge into each other and tend to be 1 dimensional. Depth is something that only comes from struggle and i like to read that, everything your Shirou, those around him, and all who appose him have weight and their actions have feelable and unfeelable consequences. Something that some trolls in the reviews have completely missed, despite having read through all of your chapters, and will no doubt continue to read this epic after this chapter but are being salty for the sake of being salty and will continue to incorrectly criticise or just plain rudely insult this epic for the sake of insult.
But hey, this is the internet, trolls will always exist and you don't need me to defend your work, so instead I'll go on to the review.
I'm greatly excited for the next chapter, i've been waiting for the reunion between the sword and flower since the first chapter where we learnt that the flower wouldn't be just left to the wayside as this epic went on.
The battle between Odysseus and Shirou felt like two skilled warriors going at it until the very end, it was well done and both Shirou and Odysseus pulled out all the stops until they we're just crawling after each other in the sand in total exhaustion.
I feel as if the other characters didn't do much in this chapter, but i can also see that many plot devices (i.e the Curses from the mansion if im not clear) that have been put in place from earlier have been used to great effect, so it gets balanced out.
Furthermore, i agree that someone like Shirou (a person who can best be described as survivor's guilt personified) would carry extreme trauma from something like the entire situation from Venus, as 1.) he would consider it betrayal of the heighest order towards Sakura, despite technically not being at fault (Not unlike Arturia after her own rape by Morgan le fey, causing her to go completely calibate and Sakura and the unmentionables that occured to her) and 2.) how he harmed those he considered friends and family in his hypnotized (would hypnotized be the correct word?) state, which he would blame himself for, predictably.
This would not be an easy or time-effiecient thing to fix and would be a step in the direction of becoming Archer for Shirou, and the only minor healing can be done for now, hence his lack of meaningful recovery. But now that he may begin returning to the one he loves, he can begin the path to recovery in full.
Unless he pulls a Neon genisis Evangelion, then he be roight Fd!
But I would like to say to you, the author, that this story is well made, well thought out, well fulled out, an extraordinary epic, that i can gladly say, deserves the favorites and follows that it has collected and will continue to collect.

Godou then wins and keeps winning while getting more Authorities like someone playing gacha non-stop, while Shirou does nothing and keeps being beaten up. I mean, a protagonist struggling during a fight is a pretty nice thing, but the protagonist being fucking weak and getting beat up every time while the other (and, being sincere, the actual protagonist of your writing), gets all the cool moments. It's nice for an MC to writes, but no one wants to read about a loser who's overshadowed at every moment and doesn't do shit. You need to actually deliver, author, and it seems that the awesomeness missed Shirou's number.
Honestly, just use the new Authority as an excuse and give Shirou the boot at this point to start writing about Godou's shenanigans while Shirou's doing god knows what in the Nasuverse like you appear to want to do. It's really kinda sad because this Shirou could be an excellent version and you can write really fucking rad scenes, just... not with him.
So, yea, big review, but I read more of a million words of good (if extremely bloated) writing waiting for the MC of the story to do something, just to realize I'm reading Godou's Really Awesome Fights and Tales 2 Electric Boogaloo instead of Shirou's story. Understandably, I got kinda annoyed.

Author, I'll be honest, this story is probably the only work at this site that manages to irritate the hell out of me to a level I actively refuse myself to read more even if I wish to. I'm not gonna say anything about your (very) bloated prose or the pacing 'cause you probably know it and, if that's your style, more power to you.
That being said, props to you because, even with the things I said before, you have talent and can write very well. I honestly wish you luck in your writing career.
However, it must be said: the fact you're talented actually makes this story actually more irritating. It's one thing when a fic doesn't deliver because the author can't write, but you can, and you could (and did, in the rarest of rare moments) give awesome scenes to Shirou. But you just don't, Godou keeps increasing in power and having the spotlight and having positions of power thrust upon him left, right and center, while Shirou... pretty much simple exists.
Seriously, I understand that Godou is the protagonist of Campione, but if I wanted to read a story with Godou as an protagonist, I'd actually read Campione. I could be wrong, but the name of the fic is about Shirou, the pic is Shirou, the summary is about Shirou, and the fic is told in a viewpoint that mostly follows Shirou, so I concluded the fic would be about Shirou. But no, Shirou, despite having now the power of a Campione, is actually more useless than canon in any route. Because in the canon when he realizes his powers, even if stumbling the way to it, he's actually DOES SOMETHING! Be it fighting Gil, be it using Nine Lives Blade Works against Berserker, be it fighting the corrupted Saber with Triple-Linked Crane Wings, be it with Avalon, but here he can't do shit.
This version Shirou is a bystander, all the while Godou takes the center of the stage and actually gets more and more strong and important. Shirou is pretty fucking useless, while Godou grows by leaps and bounds. Shirou isn't capable of scratching an enemy without suffering at least three heart attacks and fracturing the spine in two places while bleeding from the eyes, but Godou just pull out his great balls of fire and wins and get Authorities as if

What I feel doesn't seem talked about enough among the numerous reviews are the histories of the gods. Certainly, the way the gods shifted in nature and morphed into different forms is beautiful. Godou's use of the Golden Sword against Ahriman and Oddyseus' origins, just to name a few recent examples.
To my admittedly poor knowledge, the Authorities also seemed to be done wonderfully in my humble opinion. The precise mechanics of how they work and their history looked reasonable to me, if perhaps somewhat stretched.
As for the other factors people seem to focus on, what has to be kept in mind is that comedy isn't a simple thing. What works for some may not work for others. And so it goes for this as well, the interactions between the History Compilation Committee and Shirou plays a big part in how I got through the chapters.
Another point is who plays the role of the main character. From what I remember, the focus seems mainly upon Shirou and how he influences the world as an Eighth Campione? As a fanfiction, it will be reasonable to avoid repeating the Source Material, so writers introduce new elements to prevent that. Shirou is integral to this. He is necessary to make things happen differently instead of just going through the same plot.
Shirou's and Godou's struggles in battle, on the other hand. The former's desperate struggles against Heretic Gods are, in my opinion, entirely justified. His Noble Phantasms may be powerful, but the limiting factor is of course his magic circuits. I don't seem to recall the chapters ever addressing how his circuits changed after becoming a Campione, so it stands to reason that they are mostly unchanged. It is after all, gods, he is fighting against.
Godou's struggles may be less apparent, but trying to restrain and defeat Shirou was no easy task. Even with Luo Hao assisting him, the fight tired him in a way that he haven't experienced before. His battle with Ahriman is legendary in scale, and the only reason he pulled that one off was due to plot armour and luck. The White Serpent of the Moon spell. As the text told us, it was because of his nature as a Campione that it even worked out at all. He definitely didn't curb stomp this opponent.
All in all, I can conclusively say that this was a pleasant experience. I did enjoy and hopefully will continue to enjoy this story. If this is what I can experience from your writings, Marcus, I'll definitely keep an eye out for the novel. Good luck on finding a publisher!

I’ll be honest your writing has really fallen off the path. This story has been out for a LONG time and it truly feels as if things have not actually progressed in the ways that mattered. OOCness, stupidly cheesy moments with statues instead of symbolism, and failure to make Shirou engaging aside, his relationships with other characters truly fucking suck. The one thing that should matter to him besides Ilya is still Sakura and absolutely nothing indicates a single fuck for the latter except a very badly written situation. God. Even just bringing in Sakura to this world would make things 1000% more interesting

Godou basically has ties and loyalty of two organizations but it's such a big deal if Shiroi gets even one. okay, first of all every fight Shirou had he was literally left bleeding, broken, weak, and the only reason why he won is pretty much due to plot armor. Mordred? Shocking. The Arondight actually has a will of its own and it helped him! Venus? Shocking. There's a statue of Sakura in "Unlimited Blade Works" and it broke the spell placed on him, i forgot the rest since I've been skipping Shirou's screen time and find Godou more interesting.
As for those complaining about Shirou having less screen time, back off! This fanfic isn't about Shirou, he's just a side character who gets beaten up every fight! He's like the Genos(OPM) of Godou. And for those complaining that Shirou is too weak, well of course the author doesn't want the side character to out shine Godou the real main character of this fanfic.

Truthfully I've been skipping Shirou's time since I find him boring, Godou's more interesting than him. I mean, the dude got a harem, he's stronger than Shirou, and actually doesn't need plot armor to win since he's strong enough to not need it, unlike Shirou who gets tossed around like kid. Seriously, even with the increase of Authority Shirou doesn't appear to be getting stronger, but weaker.
Author just kill Shirou, he's useless at this point. Oh, and just give Shirou's Curse Authority to Godou before you kill Shirou.
Sigh, this is so freaking frustrating to read.

okay, first of all every fight Shirou had he was literally left bleeding, broken, weak, and the only reason why he won is pretty much due to plot armor. Mordred? Shocking. The Arondight actually has a will of its own and it helped him! Venus? Shocking. There's a statue of Sakura in "Unlimited Blade Works" and it broke the spell placed on him, i forgot the rest since I've been skipping Shirou's screen time and find Godou more interesting.
As for those complaining about Shirou having less screen time, back off! This fanfic isn't about Shirou, he's just a side character who gets beaten up every fight! He's like the Genos(OPM) of Godou.
