It just doesn’t fit for Dumbledore to die from gunshots.
For one, there’s no chance that any of those people would have actually shot at either combatant. For several reasons at that.
It also doesn’t make sense for Dumbledore to allow that to happen. On the one in a million chance they did hit him with all the spells in the air, and assuming he doesn’t block it, he could literally heal himself instantly. It would take a one in a billion shot to hit him directly in the heart or brain.
Sorry, this just doesn’t fit his character at all.
Other than that, I love this story. A lot.

At age 21, a Hermione Granger who has had four years to grow and improve should be able to throw hands with the absolute best of them. Ahhh this was such a magnificent story! Thank you for sharing it. It's one of my favorites and I think my favorite Sirmione (which is WILD because they're my favorites). It was so original (the entire MI5 bit was so unexpected) and clever. It executed so many fanfic tropes so perfectly (fake relationship turns real, time travel, kidnapping, etc) while also having neat twists. It had tons of characters but they were all also distinct and well characterized. I loved all of the security questions and how they gave a glimpse into the lives of our characters. The Hermione, Sirius, Remus trio was so beautiful. I loved their friendship so much. I loved the entire Fuhr storyline and all the ways that you were able to use Sirius/the Black family to retrieve the horcruxes. Having Sirius befriend Rabastan was such a smart plot point. Narcissa being an absolute wino was a great touch. Everyone was just characterized SO well that it feels canon. You wrapped everything up so beautifully BUT I'm also so excited that there's a sequel! Whew this was a great fanfic and I'm so glad I found it. Thanks for writing it!

- I love the idea of Hermione and Remus being work tea buddies
- I ADORE this idea that Remus' werewolf status is public knowledge but it's okay because he saved the world so no one cares and he doesn't have to be frightened for the rest of his life that his secret is going to be revealed
- Okay I cannot imagine Hermione without her mane and with blonde hair hahah
- I love that Sirius is still using Ogden. Mrs J, this fic was perfection
- Haha Moody is VERY persistent
- I feel so dumb but I was NOT expecting Hermione to be pregnant and it to be Flora but it all makes sense now. I guess I didn't think anything out of the ordinary about Frederica mentioning Flora because it had to do with Ron but she didn't mention Ginny so I should have known!
- UGH we love Frederica. I love that she made Hermione feel less panicked about being pregnant
- Hermione knows how to handle Walburga so well haha
- I love getting to see these snippets of Hermione settling into her new life through hanging out with Lily, going to dinner at the Potters', and house hunting with Lily. SO cute
- I forgot all about Narcissa. As this fic wraps up, I want to say that I loved the inclusion of her in this fic! It was so perfect
- I love the idea of Sirius/Hermione living in Godric's Hollow right by James/Lily
- Hermione quietly changing the laws through wording is probably the most Hermione career I could ever think of
- This was a great epilogue chapter!
