Welcome to RB fic! This was quite well-written, and it's a very interesting premise. I especially liked this line:
"He could live with resignation. Could build on it, maybe create something close to what they'd had before." - Close, but different. Different enough to allow them to be who they've become, to work this time. Also liked Sam telling her, "Let's get you where you need to be." There's a lot of potential meaning there, and a lot of places Andy needs to be, both physically and emotionally, before she can get back to any semblance of the life she knew; to see Sam approach it as something to be accomplished via team effort is incredibly important, as it's a matter of working with her where she is, rather than attempting to single-handedly fix her.
I'd definitely enjoy reading more of this, should you decide to take it further, but hope to read more from you regardless. :)

OMG...This was soooo good. And so realistic, as I'm sure UC ops dealing with the drug world have those outcomes more times than not. Let's hope she recovers completely, and that Sam will be holding her hand through the treatment program - if not physically, emotionally. I certainly hope that you're going to continue on with this. I really like it.
