Ok this story is not worth reading. On the bright side the author improved leaps and bounds with the next one.
Seriously a Hermione that can't do a repair spell, and school nurse that says oh sorry nothing can be done for you to see, a muggleborn who was at the bank when their parents exchanged cash not bringing it up with a muggle raised who saw a vault full of gold and is supposedly intelligent and has common sense combined with having a pouch of gold on hand thinks he has to ask someone that hates him to buy him glasses?

So far can't say I'm impressed especially when compared to the other story. The soul bond seems to be the main focus of the story with everyone being (minus Draco and snape) good guys so far. There is as of now no ancient magic, no scar pain (so no harrycrux), and no actual responsible adults.
No responsible adults, you say? Well alby still dumped Harry on a door step knowing the Dursleys hated magic and never once checked up on his ward. Additionally he sent the lovable idiot Hagrid vs a responsible and knowledgeable (most importantly qualified) professor. Then both albus and Minerva do not bother to inform the kids of anything and will just let them flounder in the wind.
Oh and if all of that isn't bad enough the whole philosopher stone plot is still alive so the kids are already in mortal danger (who uses a school to keep bait for the most dangerous magical is centuries?).
Anyway the last abandoned story is much better by far.

Interested to see if there is even a troll rescue mission now. Ron is nice, well mannered and a lot more intelligent than canon so far and as he currently is would never insult Hermione for trying to help him.

And you know, it was probably a compulsion by Dumbles, in the first place, to get the Weasley parents to abandon four children at school for Christmas. Set up Harry to spend two otherwise lonely weeks with Ron and the twins. (No one cares about Percy. F*** him)
And where the F is Ginny?! Not that I can stand her, either, but WTF?! They go visit one, on his own, graduated child, out of the country, and miss a holiday with the five youngest ones. Parents of the year, right there!

Screw having Harry bend over for Snape and Draco like that. It was at lunch and at the Gryffindor table. They could've easily gone above his head and I call bs that he could say things that fucked up and Harry would just let it go. Especially with the bond making him more protective than normal.

Troll hide is resistant to magic not reflective. Dint know why people take resistance to having spells bounce off of Dragons. To see it here with even the Troll though is a new one.

So why didn't Voldys latcher on show up when Poppy scanned them? That spell shows soul representation yet somehow doesn't notice the second soul piece latched onto him?
Hermione should be smart enough to realize her parents could take her to the book store to look for said books.
