Well, I certainly was not expecting THAT ending, LOL.
I am impressed that you had them share a political conversation and hint at their diverging viewpoints, without giving either of their positions away.
Cute story. :D

*snorts* Oh dear, that ending...
I love Booth and Hodgins' conversation; I can definitely see something like this happening.
*.*.*.*
My favorite section:
"Yeah." Jack looked sheepish. "I know. It was over the election," the scientist replied. "I should have learned my lesson four years ago. I can't tell you what that one cost me, man! I don't know, for all that Ange and I do agree about, there are just some areas where I know I shouldn't go. But I did. I went there." Jack shook his head. "I knew I shouldn't be going there. I heard that voice in my head that was telling me I shouldn't go there. You know that vague sense you get sometimes?" he looked over and grimaced at Booth's nod. "And what's worse is that even as the words were coming out of my mouth, even as I voiced my opinion, even then I knew that I was not being any too smart! But it was like I was powerless to stop myself. You know what I mean?" Jack looked over at his friend.
[Very Hodgins-y and all too true. Even those of us who think before we open our mouths have had this happen once in a while.]

Excellent story for today. Good advice. I can talk some politics with a couple of people I know, but I never discuss it with my sister or either of my sisters' husbands. Final line, hysterical!

My hubby likes to quote someone who said "A young person who isn't a liberal has no heart, and older person who isn't a conservative has no brain." Makes for interesting political conversations around here. I stay out of them. Loved that last line. Maybe I should give my shower massage a name...

Great story... Hits close to home, as I lived it last week. Yes my husband and I got in an argument over the election. Been married over 25 years, and never agreed on a candidate yet. You think we would learn... :0)

Loved it. Hodgins should have learned a long time ago that politics and religion can get you killed. Loved that he even knew he should keep his mouth shut and he still couldn't do it. Very Hodgins.
Welcome back. Love your stories.
I use to watch Murphy Brown. Great show.
