This is going to be interesting, as it combines elements from at least 3 other stories into the beginning of a comprehensive storyline.
True, I haven't considered the situation that Shinichi would be a big brother to Conan, but still, Rachel can see both Conan and Jimmy in the same room at the same time, and not have her heart broken or her sanity brought into question, mostly in her own mind.
One of the elements that immediately came to mind was in the anime dvd episode of Case Closed, Season 4, Jimmy Kudo Revealed, Part 2, where Vivian introduces Conan to her old friend as her second son, born in America - according to what Vivian told Rachel the night before.
I figure you might have seen this episode somewhere and it kind of stuck in your mind somewhere, and it became an actually credible explanation for the existence of Conan, as far as I am concerned.
The other elements are still a bit foggy to pin down, but still are present as recognizably part of the Case Closed mythos.
I look forward to reading how well Jimmy . . er, Shinichi . . fares taking care of a young child at his age and current interests. Seems he's going to have to grow up a bit faster than he thought, doesn't it?

Nice first chapter. I have always liked AU stories that have Conan as Shinichi's brother or cousin. Can't wait to see more :D

hellow, I kinda like your idea of the story. but some things just didn't make sense like yukiko's pregnancy and shinichi didnt notice and you didnt tell us about the age of conan. just that and I hope you would explain more detail :)
and one more, I wish you will put ShinRan stuff here.. hehe :D

Interesting chapter. I like your story, please continue soon. Emm, i just want to recommend you that, if you write a story, I d' like you to write fully detailed. Good story though!
