Thank you for writing this. I wish you had more reviews...but at least I can spare you mine. You write beautifully. Somehow, you're able to convey such strong emotions and important details without using many words. It amazes me a little. I'm glad I found this now, since I am currently (literally, right now) working on a chapter for my latest story, and I'm at a scene with Shisui and Itachi that requires a certain level of depth and drama. Reading this helped put me in the right place mentally to get down to business and make the emotions flow. So again...thank you for a wonderfully tragic and captivating story, and thank you for motivating me. :)

*Died a little inside at the painful truth and beauty of this story and would love to tell you coherently how she really felt but is literally and without exaggeration crying to hard for words*
Actually, it took me a few minutes to write this review, because I am crying. This was so painful and heart-wrenching, yes, but at the same time, in the same place, almost offered absolution. The fact that their first kiss was just before Shisui's death brings to mind the phrase, "A village to raise a child," only because it takes so much to initiate that spark that had probably always been there.
And I'm a little over-dramatic right now, because your story has my heart trembling and this is just the perfect balance of disbelief, sorrow, helplessness, and at the same time love, playfulness (When it is called for), and even a sense of pride, and adoration. It's like the perfect balance!
And I'll stop rambling now because you probably don't want to read such a drawn-out review.
Thank you for this wonderful story!
-Much love from the (Saddened, elated) Nakano
